Your private experience begins with pickup from your hotel or accommodation in Quito at approximately 7:30 a.m. Travel north through the spectacular landscapes of Ecuadorโs northern Andes while your guide introduces the regionโs history, culture, and traditions.
Visit the Quitsato Solar Museum, located directly on the equator near Cayambe. Stand between the Northern and Southern Hemispheres and learn about latitude zero, ancestral astronomy, solstices, equinoxes, and the Andean understanding of the world. Admission is not included and is paid directly by each guest.
Explore Plaza de los Ponchos, one of South Americaโs best-known artisan markets. Walk among colorful textiles, ponchos, embroidery, jewelry, paintings, and traditional handicrafts while interacting with local artisans. Enjoy free time for photography, cultural discovery, and shopping. Access to the market is free; personal purchases are not included.
Visit Peguche Waterfall, a natural and spiritual site connected to the traditions of local Indigenous communities. Enjoy a light walk through native vegetation before reaching the waterfall and learning about its cultural importance. Any entrance charge or community contribution is paid directly by each guest.
